Bob has lived in the area since 1967 and is a former elementary school principal. After his retirement in 1995, Bob became active with the Prince William County Democrats. Growing up in eastern Kentucky, Bob witnessed how hard the coal unions had to fight in the 1940s in order to obtain fair treatment and was surrounded by family who admired FDR. His affiliation with the Democratic Party seemed natural and as a public servant, Bob believes that the government should look after, help, and protect the people first and foremost.
